UCFB
My time at UCFB was wrapped up with a First Class Honours, something I’m incredibly proud of. Throughout my degree, I had the opportunity to work across a range of production roles, developing my skills in presenting, producing, editing and storytelling.
From producing and presenting long-form TV programmes and creating Olympic-themed content in Paris, to interviewing senior figures at Stockport County and independently producing my own documentary, Humbull, each project pushed me to develop as a creative and take greater ownership of my work.
These are three projects that best represent my time at UCFB and the skills I developed along the way.
The Blueprint
The Blueprint was a Christmas-themed production created for Stockport County FC in 2024 as part of a TV Production module. I took on the roles of Producer and Editor, overseeing the project from planning through to the final edit.
As my first production of this style, it was a valuable opportunity to develop my skills in storytelling, production management and post-production, while creating a piece of content built around the club and its Christmas campaign.
Route 1
Route 1 was a live-style sports show that I presented and edited, giving me the opportunity to work across both on-screen and production roles.
Alongside presenting, I edited key segments including the Paris and racing features, while also creating the live backdrop, introduction and stings. I then brought the full show together in post-production, ensuring each element worked seamlessly as one finished programme.
Humbull
Humbull was a documentary I created as part of a solo documentary storytelling module, giving me the opportunity to take full ownership of a production from concept to completion. With limited support throughout the process, the project was a valuable experience in working independently and making creative decisions at every stage.
I chose to focus the documentary on boxer Johnny Fisher, building a distinctive Western-inspired visual style around his ‘Romford Bull’ identity. The aim was to create a house style that reflected his unique personality and presence, both inside and outside the ring.
